Come arrivare
What is the best way to get to Borsh?
Most guests come one of two ways:
- Via Corfu: fly to Corfu, take the ferry to Saranda (about 30 minutes on the fast boat), then about 50 minutes up the coast by car or taxi.
- Via Tirana: fly to Tirana, then about 4.5 hours south by car, or take a bus towards Saranda.
You can also drive: Borsh sits directly on the SH8 coast road. Our getting here guide compares the options.
How does the ferry from Corfu work?
Ferries to Saranda leave from the port in Corfu Town. Finikas Lines and Ionian Seaways run the route; the fast boats take about 30 minutes. There is passport control on both sides, and Corfu is one hour ahead of Albania. From Saranda it is about 50 minutes to Borsh by car. All the details are in our Corfu ferry guide.
How do I get from Tirana airport to Borsh?
By car it is about 4.5 hours, south via Vlora and then along the coast road. There is no direct bus from the airport, but you can take a shuttle to Vlora or a bus to Tirana's bus terminal and change there for a bus towards Saranda via the coast. See our Tirana airport guide.
Is there a time difference between Corfu and Albania?
Yes. Greece, including Corfu, is one hour ahead of Albania all year. Ferry timetables use local time, so keep this in mind when you plan your connection.
Borsh e dintorni
Do I need a car in Borsh?
Not for the beach: the sea is a few steps from the house. For day trips to Porto Palermo, the Blue Eye or Butrint, a car makes things much easier. If you are coming without one, ask us when you enquire and we will tell you what is realistic.
What is Borsh beach like?
About 7 km of pebbles and clear water, one of the longest beaches on the Albanian Riviera. Bring water shoes and some shade of your own for the quieter stretches. More in our guide to Borsh beach.
Is there anything to do on the beach besides swimming?
We built a beach volleyball court on the beach for our guests. The long shore is also good for walks, and the clear water is nice for snorkelling close to the stones.
What is there to see near Borsh?

- Qeparo, the next village north, with an old upper village and a beach
- Porto Palermo, Ali Pasha's fortress on a small peninsula, about 15 minutes north
- The Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër), a deep blue spring, about an hour away
